AdWord Bonanza From Google Is Here Now!
Google has announced that advertisers can now pause and resume individual ads, sites and even individual keywords. Have you ever needed to pause certain [tag]ads and keywords[/tag] when your inventory was low? Or have you ever wished you could temporarily stop serving image ads on certain sites during the weekdays? Well now you can since all [tag] AdWords advertisers [/tag] can pause and resume keywords for [tag] keyword-targeted campaigns [/tag] as well as sites for targeted campaigns.
In addition to that good news for [tag] AdWord marketers[/tag], Google also announced updates to their quality scoring system. A new quality label has been attached to keywords, rating them according to Great, Ok, or Poor quality. Additionally, Google promises to have improved their quality score algorithm to reward high quality pages with a lower cost per click. We will see just how that plays out but it is encouraging. They also claim they've improved the way they set minimum bids where they've limited data to verify quality. However, to see the Quality Scoring, advertisers may need to customize the column data provided in their reports.
Google released plans to begin testing CPC (Cost-Per-Click) ads for campaigns that are using the AdWords site targeting feature. Presently, advertisers using site targeting to choose exactly which sites their ads appear on can only use the Cost-Per-Thousand-Impression (CPM) model. Google plans to let certain select advertisers beta test the new CPC option. The CPM advance to advertising is primarily about brand exposure to large audiences, while the CPC model is for advertisers more interested in high-ROI direct sales. Offering both models is a good way for Google to satisfy a greater number of advertisers.
